Today Irina & Slava picked us up around 9:30am to go to Borpka. Irina went in to see Orphanage Director and we found Slava outside with his Groupa. This time he was wearing glasses! Cute as a bug. Though Im sure they are not his alone and won't be coming with us, the glasses are very cute on him anyway. Not to worry, we will take him to the same eye specialist who performed Jordan's surgery. Slava was less interested today in the food we brought and more interested in running from thing to thing. There were workers all around the playground raking leaves. He managed to coax a broom from one of the women and started raking leaves with it! He reminds us of Jordan - always wanting to "work". We only visited about an hour and then he had to go back in with his group.
We returned to our apartment, had lunch in the underground mall food court, and walked up Chrishettic to a 5 floor mall. Not a big mall like at home, but a 5 story building. The 2nd floor had children's clothes and toys! This made Jordan happy and gave us something to do outside of the apartment. Although Wayne is not much on shopping, Jordan and I enjoyed just strolling and looking. We got Slava a small toy dump truck for 50 greevnah ($6 us dollars) and Jordan got a truck with a crane for 80gr ($10). We're running out of activities to occupy him in the apt. We're wondering what it will be like when we add Slava to the mix.
Irina says she needs us in the morning to go to the SDA. So we won't visit Slava in the morning, maybe in the afternoon, we'll have to see. Please pray that our Interpol clearances will be in on Wednesday & for us to be able to have court asap. Ira says that there are a lot of documents involved in our case because we adopted the other 3 kids previously. She even needs to get a copy of our court decree from the adoption 4 years ago. For some reason she actually kept a copy from way back then, but she's asked the court in Vasylkiv to send another one so she will always have one on file. Documents, paperwork, appointments, fees, it's all a big blurr to us. We are trusting the Lord to work out all the details according to His perfect will and in His perfect timing. Please keep us in your prayers. We love & miss you all. We will update again tomorrow.
Praying for the clearances to be in on Wednesday. Praying for all the paperwork and documents to be gathered too. Love the picture of him raking leaves. God Bless.
