VICTORY IN JESUS!!!

We picked up our Slava today. He was very excited to go with us. We got to go upstairs to his groupa and we brought him his new clothes. As he was changing, right there in the hallway, he said that his Mama loves him because she brought him new clothes. We snapped some pictures, left a bunch of goodies for his groupa and headed out the door. We returned to the apartment where he explored every square inch.

I left at 4pm with Irina to try to get the passport. Traffic was very heavy due to many roads closed. Ind Sqr is the scene of this huge protest because the govt just raised taxes. It took us an hour just to get to the passport office, then we waited there for over an hour....but we walked out with Slava's passport! Praise God! Then we enjoyed an hour of traffic back. I returned to the apartment and a very exhausted Missy & Wayne. Slava wore them out. He never had his afternoon nap which is mandatory in the orphanage. Now Missy & Wayne are trying to get him to sleep because after this blog post I must complete several documents for the embassy tomorrow morning.

We go to the US Embassy, then the American Medical Center, then back to the Embassy with the medical documents. On Wed we pick up Slava's visa from the Embassy and that is it, mission accomplished. We will be home on Thursday! For Thanksgiving! This is truly a miracle! Thank you to all of you for praying us through this process and home. From this point on the blog posts will be short and sweet because Slava never sits still. I will make sure once we get settled in at home to continue sharing our story. Please continue to pray for the bonding process. Slava seems to do pretty well with us, but he is still very wild. He does not want to settle down and sleep. We are very thankful to have Missy here because she can translate much of what he is saying and talk to him. He is learning English, we are learning Ukrainian. We love you all and our hearts are fulled with thankfulness for your prayers and for our faithful Lord!
